Christmas with Talent

You are cordially invited to attend a Christmas Open House. Plan to enjoy an afternoon that will be both fun and educational. Special features include a sales table with homemade craft items and old fashioned baked items to purchase, and lots of door prizes. It's sure ot be a special afternoon, so mark your calendar and plan to attend. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.

Cheese Ball Contest

 A new addition to the Christmas Open House is a cheese ball contest.  Plan to make a cheese ball and bring it to the Christmas Open House by 12:15 p.m.   Prizes will be given for the best cheese balls.  After the cheese balls have been judged, they will be served on the Tea Table.  So start thinking about what type of cheese ball you would like to enter!

 

 

12:30 p.m.— Cheese Ball Contest Judging

 

12:30 p.m.—Auglaize County One Room Schools—Marge Brandt

 

Marge, a local artist, will be talking about the one room schools in our area and showing prints of the schools she has painted.  She will also share a bit of history of the schools, how they were built, and their use as community gathering places.  She will have items available for sale.

 

1:15 p.m.—Chemicals Found in the Home—Jerry Dicus

Jerry, a local entrepreneur, will share his talent by talking about how he uses chemicals in the home.  He will share what the chemicals do and why he uses the chemicals he does.  You will have the opportunity to learn first hand what can be done.

 

2:00 p.m.—History of the Hammered Dulcimer—Bob Brown

 

Bob will share his wood working talent as he showcases his hammered dulcimer.  He will talk about the history of the dulcimer and the types of woods used to make dulcimers.  Then he will play musical selections on the  dulcimer.

 

2:45 p.m.—Put a Little Sparkle in Your Holidays—Jenny’s Designs, Botkins

 

This holiday season will be filled with “sparkle” when you decorate your home with ideas that Jenny will share.  She will update you on what’s new this year, plus share decorating ideas for your holiday tables, fireplace hearth, and home.  Her ideas will make your holiday sparkle!
