Junior Fair Rule Changes for 2026

Procession Dates for Junior Fair Animals

All Livestock project animals must have been in possession and cared for by the individual exhibitor on and after May 1 of the current year.

Exceptions:

Steers – ownership date is the original scheduled date of winter weigh -in

Yearling Horses – ownership date is January 1 of current year

Market Rabbits – ownership date is     June 20 of current year

Market Chickens – ownership date is    June 30 of current year

Fair Weigh In Information

All fair weigh-ins will be held on Saturday, August 1 at the following times:

   8:00 a.m. – Market Rabbit Weigh-in 

    8:30 a.m. – Market Chicken Weigh-in (followed by pullorum testing)

      10:00 a.m. - Market Hog Weigh-in 

  10:00 a.m. – Market Lamb and Market Goat Weigh-in

11:00 a.m. – Market Steer Weigh-in

 Hogs will be weighed in the hog arena. Lambs and goats will be weighed on a different scale in Piehl Arena.  

Sale Order

Friday - August 7th, starting at 9a.m. - Goats, Beef, Rabbits and Dairy Milk

Saturday - August 8th, starting at 9a.m. - Sheep, Poultry, Hogs
